San Jose del Cabo is virtually immune from the East Cape’s Winter weather, with Air Temps in the low 70’s to low 80’s and has ideal conditions thru-out the Winter months. San Jose is known for its excellent fishing and because of that, several of our boats head down to San Jose for the Winter. The main target area is the Gordo Banks, only a short 20 minute run from the Puerto Los Cabos Marina.

The outer Gordo is a fish magnet, featuring several high spots that attract a variety of species such as Striped Marlin, Tuna, Dorado and Wahoo. The inner Gordo is a well renowned in-shore fishery and features such species as big Cubera Snapper, Cabrilla, Pargo, several species of Grouper and Roosterfish, making San Jose literally, a “Fishing Oasis” in not only the Winter months but year-round.
